Our trip to Oregon

Thursday- Playing at the park and going to Monica's Secret Garden.

We found this park last time we were in Eugene. The park is at the base of Skinner's Butte. John and Renee purchased paving stones in memory for Renee's Grandma and Dad. There are two wonderful water features as well as a good sized sand area where the children can dig for dinosaur bones..

Monica, Renee's boss, has an amazing garden. It's no wonder her home was part of Eugene's Garden Home Tour last year. When Nellie was small (she's now in her 30's), Monica had this playhouse built for her. To get to the playhouse, one enters through "the secret garden". The girls are now really pushing for daddy to build them a playhouse. For the chalk board, Gene has hung a piece of slate, which is a neat idea!
