Roosevelt Lake. Too dirty for the Worthley girls to swim in
so we took a paddle boat instead
Hummm, maybe this is why the Lake had high levels of bacteria.....

We saw this great bridge, circled around and it took us into Kentucky.... a little town named Maysville
Russell Theatre in Maysville, where Rosemary Clooney got her start.
Lots of quilts painted on the side of buildings
Very clean little town, Maysville, was.
Back in OH- stopped in Ripley at the John Rankin House.
John Rankin, an abolishionist, helped 2000 slaves escape across the OH river from KY to the free state of OH, as they journeyed onto Canada.
You can see 7 bends of the OH river on a clear day from the Rankin House.
Retracing the 100 steps that the slaves took going up the hill to the Rankin House
Watching a barge go through the locks on the OH River.

Great photos, thanks for sharing. I'm glad you got to see the Rankin house. We'll have to go there on our next trip to Ohio.
