Letterboxing at Newell Park

So, we decide to try our hand at Letterboxing a couple of weekends ago. It was quite a day and it didn't turn out quite the way we had anticipated, largely because I did not have the right kind of compass...so Team Worthley Girls was on pretty much a wild goose chase. Once on track (thanks to some friendly folks), we finally found the correct foot bridge we needed to start our hunt. The girls still had a good time. They got really dirty making dirt balls out of "moon dust". Ainsley was our "look out" person and Kaley was appointed "the dandelion finder". Ainsley found our "Y" tree and the tree stump which were two key landmarks in our Letterboxing hunt. We are pretty sure that our letterbox was hidden in what used to be a dry, rocky river bank. Going the weekend after our terrible rain storms was not the best of ideas as the dry river bank was a full fledged running river. Needless to say, we did not find our Letterbox, but thanks to Kaley, we found many dandelions to blow.
